Retromobile 2020 Coverage: First Classic Car Event of the Decade
Retromobile 2020 is the start of the decade’s major classic car shows. This is the show’s 44th anniversary and will take place Feb 5th-9th 2020. Since 1976, Retromobile has displayed some of the most amazing cars and vehicles in the world. From auctions, shows, and exhibits, we’ll be uploading these classic cars below and to our Facebook and Instagram pages.

About Retromobile 2020
Over 600 cars are on show with 72,000 square feet of exhibition space. During the event, they expect 130,000 visitors and over 600 exhibitors this year. Retromobile is taking place in the Parc des expositions de la Porte de Versailles and will be in pavilions 1,2, and 3. There will be industry professionals of all kinds to meet and network with and tons of interesting cars to see.
Retromobile 2020 will run from Wednesday February 5th to Sunday February 9th
Early Bird Special admission to the event is 19 euro and regular is 23 euro at the door.

Retromobile 2020 Opening Day
Starting off at Retromobile 2020, we got a look at the outside the night before the event.
The next morning was preview day so we get a sneak peak a day before many of the general public.
A look at the inside of the event from the top down gives only a small sense of the scale of how large this is.
Bugatti T44 roadster by Thietart
This Bugatti T44 Roadster was made in 1930 by Thietart. These legendary Bugatti vehicles are known to sell for over $300,000, where for a long time many were common barn finds. Now and days, the T44 Bugatti is more likely found in a collection than a barn.
The Monterey Car Week is one of the biggest auto events in the world and 2019 is no exception. The event starts Friday August 9th and finishes up on August 18th. Running a little over a week, Monterey runs multiple events everyday. These events range from races, shows, auctions, and much more.

During Monterey Car Week 2019 Auctions
The auctions during the Monterey Car Week are some of the most amazing in the world. They are so appealing that there are a few everyday auctioning off different styles.
Mecum Auctions Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel
This Mecum Auction is at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel and Spa. In this event there is a plethora of muscle cars, motorcycles, and more. This auction is one of the most affordable ones to attend as ticket prices are $20 in advance and $30 after.
This auction is extended to two days and features some sought after vehicles. One of the rarest on auction is the 1959 Porsche 718 RSK “Center Seat” Spyder. This is one of four example vehicles built and still has it’s original bodywork. Who knows how much this treasure will be worth!
RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction is three days this year with a day just for the Aston Martin brand. With their focus on the brand, you can be sure to see some of the rarest Aston Martins in the world. Admission is $40 this year, and it will definitely be worth checking it out.
Worldwide Auctioneers are having their Monterey auction at The Pacific Grove Golf Links. There will be a ton of rare cars on auction. There will be classics, sports cars, and even one of the first electric vehicles ever made.

Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance
The Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance is one of the main reasons this week exists. This is the 69th anniversary of the event and it is sure to be an amazing one. Vehicles are judged on accuracy
The Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance presented by Rolex
The Pebble Beach Tour d’Elegance is an event that people always love. Many classic and vintage cars line up early in the morning and drive through the original Monterey 17-Mile Drive. This is like a parade for the event and people line up to catch this as the vehicles drive by.
At the beautiful Quail Lodge & Golf Club, is a garden event with some amazing food and vintage cars. This is held at the same time as the Bonhams Auction as well, so there are sure to be some great sights.
This year’s themes are: 100 Years of Bentley Motors, 25th Anniversary of the McLaren F1, and A Tribute to the Electric Car Movement.

Every year they bring out legendary cars and showcase some of the most coveted vehicles on the planet. This year’s event takes place February 6-10 and we begin coverage a few days before it starts. The annual Chicago Auto Show is the nation’s largest and best-attended auto show. The 2019 Chicago Auto Show will take place from February 9-18, 2019, at McCormick Place in downtown Chicago, Illinois.
First staged in 1901, the 2019 event will be the 111th Chicago Auto Show. It is owned and produced by the Chicago Automobile Trade Association.
What You’ll See At the Chicago Auto Show
The show takes up more than 1 million square feet of McCormick Place, the largest convention center in North America. Exhibits will feature nearly 1,000 of the newest cars, trucks and SUVs. Vehicles on display include production cars, debut models and concept cars.

Chicago Auto Show Hours & Dates
The show takes place in February, giving Chicagoans a great excuse to get out of the blustery cold coming off Lake Michigan. The 2019 Chicago Auto Show dates are Saturday, Friday 9 to Monday, February 18 (Presidents’ Day).
The Chicago Auto Show hours of admission are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., every day, however the show will close at 8 p.m. on its final day in honor of Presidents’ Day.
Chicago Auto Show Tickets & Parking
Tickets for the Chicago Auto Show are available online or at ticket booths within McCormick Place. Adult tickets are $13, and tickets for children (7-12) and senior (62+) are $7.
Chicago Auto Show discount tickets are available in a few ways:
Women’s Day: On Tuesday, February 12, women are admitted for $7.
Food Drive: Attendees who donate three canned foods will receive $5 off adult admission for February 13-15. All food collected will benefit A Safe Haven Foundation.
Chicago Auto Show parking is available on-site in the three main McCormick Place parking lots: A, B & C. Parking in Lots A & C is $23, and parking in Lot B is $15. After 6 p.m. during the Chicago Auto Show, the parking rate is $10.

Things To Do in Chicago in The Winter
While you’re in town, take advantage of the other attractions in Chicago. Don’t let the chilly February weather deter you from touring around; there are plenty of things to do in Chicago in the winter:
Museum Campus: Spend the day wandering around world-class museums like the Field Museum, Shedd Aquarium or Adler Planetarium.
Millennium Park: Skate at the McCormick Tribune Ice Rink, or take a mirror selfie at Cloud Gate (also known as “The Bean”).
The Magnificent Mile: Shop along Michigan Avenue, Chicago’s premier commercial district. Or just window shop, if that’s what your wallet is telling you.
Broadway in Chicago: Chicago is a main stop in the Midwest for national productions of Broadway musicals. Touring shows in town at the time will be box-office hits “Hamilton” and “Dear Evan Hansen.”
Lincoln Park Zoo and Conservatory: Discover a jungle in the middle of the concrete jungle. Admission to the zoo and conservatory is free, but you’ll still see incredibly flora and fauna.
