Ongoing port labor disputes between Longshoremen Unions and Los Angeles/Long Beach Port Authorities have now caused serious market disruptions, affecting all companies large and small alike.

The International Longshore and Warehouse Union is still slowing down cargo-handling operations at all major US West Coast ports and gateways while negotiations for a new contract continues in San Francisco, the Pacific Maritime Association said Monday.
Ocean Line Carriers have filed Emergency GRI (General Rate Increases) with the FMC. Additional charges for both Import & Export containers will be subject to below charges, effective immediately.
